Terms of sale
Plain English, no small print. These are the terms you buy on. The short version: 14 days to change your mind on blank cards, faulty cards are replaced or refunded, and everything is posted by Royal Mail within the UK.
Who we are
Boost Your Reviews is Aidan Smart, trading as Boost Your Reviews, a sole trader. Address: 61 Fitton Avenue, Kingswinford, West Midlands, DY6 8RX. Email taptoboost@outlook.com. WhatsApp +44 7523 879455. We are not registered for VAT, so no VAT is added to our prices.
These terms
These terms apply to every order for review cards, whether you order through the checkout on this site, or by message on WhatsApp or the contact form and then pay. By ordering you agree to them. If you buy as a consumer, nothing here takes away the rights the law gives you.
Some parts apply differently if you buy for a business, for example as a reseller or for a shop. Those parts say so.
What you are buying
NFC review cards, 100mm square, rigid PVC with a domed epoxy resin finish and a 3M adhesive backing. Each card holds an NFC chip. Tapped with a phone, it opens the web link written to it.
Cards come blank unless you ask us to programme them. Blank means the chip has no link yet; you write your own with a free phone app, and the setup guide shows how. If you ask us to programme them, you give us the Google review link for the business and we write it to every card and test it before dispatch.
The photos on this site are of the real product. Colours can look a little different on different screens.
The card is a way of asking for reviews. It does not write reviews, and we make no promise about how many reviews a business will get or where it will appear on Google.
You must use the cards to collect genuine reviews from real customers. Writing or buying fake reviews, or rewarding people for reviews without saying so, has been a banned practice under UK consumer law since April 2025 and is against Google's rules. Following those rules is your responsibility.
Prices and paying
Prices are in pounds sterling and are the ones shown on the site when you order. They are the total price: we are not VAT registered, so nothing is added. Postage is shown on the delivery page and again at checkout before you pay, and is free on the 50 and 100 packs. Trade quantities above 100 are priced by hand when you ask.
We deliver to UK addresses only. Payment is taken at checkout by card, Google Pay, Shop Pay, PayPal or Klarna. Checkout is run by Shopify. We never see your full card number.
How an order is made
You add packs to the basket, go to checkout, enter your details and delivery address, choose postage, and check everything on the review page, where you can go back and change anything, before you press Pay now. Ordering is in English.
You get an order confirmation email straight away; keep it, it is your record of the order. Your order is accepted, and the contract made, when we send you the dispatch email. If we cannot supply something, for example because stock has run out or a price on the site was plainly wrong, we will tell you and refund anything you have paid.
If you order by WhatsApp or the contact form instead, we reply with the total including postage and how to pay; that reply is your record of the order. Whichever way you order, your order is accepted, and the contract made, when we send you the dispatch message.
These terms are on this page whenever you want them; save or print them if you like.
Programmed cards
If you ask us to programme cards, the link you give us is what goes on them. Please check it opens the right review page before you send it. We test every programmed card before it leaves, but we cannot check that a link belongs to the business you meant.
Programmed cards are written to the link you give us, so they are made to your specification and the 14 day change of mind right below does not apply to them once the link has been written. They are still fully covered by the faulty cards section. And because the chip can be rewritten, a wrong link is not the end of the card: the setup guide shows how to change it in a minute, or ask us.
Delivery
We deliver within the United Kingdom only, by Royal Mail. We post orders within 2 working days of payment, and they normally arrive within 3 to 5 working days of your order. Working days are Monday to Friday, not bank holidays, so a weekend order counts from the Monday. Services, prices and delivery times are on the delivery page.
The cards are our responsibility until they are delivered to you. If an order has not arrived within 30 days of the order date, you can cancel it for a full refund.
Changing your mind: 14 days
If you buy as a consumer, you have the legal right to cancel an order for blank cards within 14 days of the day you receive them, for any reason. We give business buyers the same 14 days on the same conditions, as a matter of choice.
The 14 days run from the day you, or someone you have asked to take delivery for you, receive the cards. If one order arrives in more than one parcel, from the day the last one arrives. To cancel, tell us before those 14 days end, by email or WhatsApp, or by post to the address above. You can use the form at the bottom of this page, but you do not have to; a clear message with your order number is enough. We will confirm we have received it by email.
Then send the cards back to us within 14 days of telling us. You pay the return postage, unless the cards are faulty. Get a free proof of posting from the Post Office counter, or use a tracked service, because your refund is due within 14 days of you showing us the cards have been sent, even if they go missing on the way back.
We refund within 14 days of getting the cards back, or of you sending us proof of posting, whichever is first. The refund covers the cards and the cheapest postage we offered on your order. We refund to the payment method you used.
Cards need to come back as they went out. You can look at them and try them, as you would in a shop. A card that comes back damaged, or with its adhesive backing peeled or stuck down, cannot be sold again, so we deduct £7.50 for each such card, the price of a single card, from the refund.
This 14 day right does not cover programmed cards, which are made to your instructions. Faulty cards, programmed or blank, are covered by the next section.
Faulty cards
We have a legal duty to supply cards that are of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. A card is faulty if it falls short of that: for example, if the chip does not respond to a phone that reads NFC, if the resin or the adhesive fails in normal use, if it arrives damaged, or if it is not as described. Normal wear from use, damage caused by peeling a stuck card off a surface, and a link you wrote to the card yourself are not faults.
If a card is faulty, tell us with your order number and, if you can, a photo. Within 30 days of delivery you can have a full refund for the faulty cards. After that we replace them, and if a replacement fails too you can have a refund; a fault that shows up in the first six months is treated as having been there at delivery unless we can show otherwise. We pay the return postage for faulty cards and refund within 14 days of agreeing you are due one. These are your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 if you buy as a consumer, and we apply the same to business buyers.
Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not let us limit.
Beyond that, if you buy for a business, our responsibility for any loss arising from an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order, and we are not responsible for loss of profit, business or reviews.
If something goes wrong
Email or message us first and we will sort it out. We reply to complaints in writing. We are not signed up to any alternative dispute resolution scheme; if that ever changes, we will tell you when we reply to a complaint. If we cannot agree, you can take the matter to court.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK you keep the protections of your own country's consumer law.
